Re: Enroll UX 2014: User-Friendly Design

I think about website usability everyday...especially with navigating state web sites. At work, I'm currently working on a story about voter registration rolls. To get the information, I needed to request it from the Maryland Board of elections.

After getting on their web page, it took me ten minutes just to find document I needed to fill out to request the info.. After locating the document and opening the pdf, I had to print the application and fill it in manually. Since the information I wanted had a "look up" fee, I was told I could pay online. The only problem- there was no pay tab. After consulting the Board Of Elections, I was told just to mail everything in so it could be processed. I will have to wait an extra week to get the information I'm looking for.
