Re: Getting out of your comfort zone

1. Do you ever find yourself doubting your design abilities? if so what do you do to overcome them?
I think we all find ourselves doubting our abilities but at some point we all have to break out of our comfort zone. I just trust that everything will work out if I just keep pushing through it. I try and overcome them by just doing it but I get frustrated and quit and just pick it up at a later date.

2. Have you pushed yourself out of your design comfort level?
I try to assign myself little projects in areas that I am not comfortable with so that I have to expand the variety of design I do. I love Jen’s post from this week the video from Ira Glass explained exactly how I felt about my design at first. It’s just recently that I have become more comfortable with my work and the end results.

3. Are there any other design disciplines you want to give a try?
Several, just have to get to it.

4. Should I keep pushing myself to try illustrating for this project? or should I wait to try when there is no due date or dealings involved?
I think you should give it a try we all have areas of designs that we are not that great at but the object is just to push through and give it a try if it doesn’t work out then you still have plenty of time to change the direction you’re going in.
