Re: Experimentation & Process

I know I have a process, but I suppose I never thought into before. It has always seemed like second nature. Usually I take an idea and I begin to write it out which turn into doodles, and sketches. Then when I think I know where I want to go, I try to create an outline to organize my now overly clustered page. I find in all things with ideas and process I always have to start with paper and pen. I have to admit, that his has limited me sometimes when I really needed to stretch outside of the box.

What I have learned to do however, is to push through my box by finding inspiration be it a design magazine, or combing behance, pinterest, or instagram. I really enjoy when I let something simmer by taking a nap, it becomes a puzzle and somehow over the course of my sleep the pieces connect.

Since I have started diving deeper into web design, I found searching for plugin's give me idea on how I want to shape the website I am looking at. This is another part of the process that seems to work at least for me. Sometimes the image I had of a website doesn't reflect in the end result because along the way something steered me for a different direction and pushed my boundaries on what I thought I could/couldn't do. I am still working on conquering my boundaries in graphic design however.
