NEED HELP.

So I am struggling badly with this last project. I honestly don't know what to do that isn't a cliche or that the idea comes together and represents my director (Brian de Palma) even the slightest bit. I wanted to go with violence, gory blood everywhere violence. Since that's what I mostly got out of his films minus all the camera angles. Can I have some kind critique please??

I think youre getting there in terms of uniting the posters. Im not a big fan of Impact, the kerning between letters needs work.

The black type on a white background isnt really working for me either, what about white type on red with the titles angled like a Di Palma shot?

I think the psychological aspects of his work would interesting to work with.

What about focusing on the women in these movies? Reading the wikipedia page about him it says hes been criticized for being sexiest, for telling stories about women in peril and then treating them with indifference. What about using paper dolls? Or using Rosie the Riveter images in an ironic kind of way? "I'm Going to Brutally Murdered!"

hmmm. I will have to think about this all. I like the paper dolls idea. I may have to go with that. Thanks!!

I like concepts.
I like the typeface and colors chosen. I think the kerning/type needs to be adjusted on the last poster. I almost feel like the gun shot/ blood splatter should be integrated in the text as the others are.

Another thought. Have you thought about changing the backgrounds on each of the posters and using a white color the titles and keeping the red? I can see the white and red in the Scarface movie as Al Pacino's suit. In Carrie I'm seeing an sepia color, etc. I'm not sure what this would look like but it's a thought.
