That said, I'm sorry; I can't really get behind this. It looks to me like a self-serving stunt on the part of the designers, and the homeless people involved are being exploited. Yes, they're compensated for their participation, but it's exploitation nonetheless. If you want to improve a homeless person's day, hand over some cash or some food; don't make her jump through hoops for the sake of your art project.
And you know what? Those signs aren't all that well designed, either.
