Could it share an acronym with General Electric?

Interesting how this film movement has so much in common with its fine art counterpart (thinking of Edvard Munch and "The Scream"). The art direction in these films was just as important as the story, scripting, and acting, and Metropolis in particular was (visually-speaking) light years ahead of its time. As you can see in the posters, figures and their environments are frightening and hostile...dark thick lines, jagged, fragmented forms, the city and nature present equally threatening landscapes. this is where the horror genre was born. A great choice for Halloween, Stephanie!

I know, I know, German chocolate cake!! O wait, that's just what I want to eat. I am going to guess D. German Surrealism.

I'm going to go with Germaniastic because it seemed closest to a science fiction film movement name. Since I know nothing about film movements, this is clearly a guess. Haha!
