One more fun thing...

I made a discovery after watching the Pterodactyl song on youtube (awsome, btw). Metro Trains in Melbourne, Australia launched this campaign to encourage railway safety. The website is great, interactive, and has simple yet funny animation, just like the below video and accompanying song: Dumb Ways to Die.

This campaign, which went viral in 2012 and spawned a top 10 iTunes download, was conceived by McCann Melbourne for a fraction of the cost of a single TV ad.

Such is the power of social media.....

I love when morbid and cute have a baby! I've never seen this, so thanks for sharing. I like the singer--any idea who it is?

The song was written by John Mescall, who is the creative director of McCann, but the music was performed and produced by Ollie McGill (of a band called The Cat Empire) and Emily Lubitz (of another band called Tinpan Orange). Never heard of these guys, but I'm guessing they're popular mainly in Australia.

I'd also like to point out that this is a great example of the flat design trend! The web page even has a subtle texture to make the background and objects look like construction paper.
