I am not a fan of bumper stickers at all, but I thought these were a clever spin on parent's bragging rights for their child doing well at school.
Being behind this car, all i could see was . . .
a. Proud Parent of a
STUDENT OF THE MONTH
b. AGAIN
c. AND AGAIN
d. AND AGAIN
What a NERD!!!
However, i am not going to think of a bunch of clever bumper stickers to design, cuz I still hate 'em!

What happened to the good ole days when designers did things by hand? Even as a young designer in highschool who was given all the computer resources to use, I and my classmates were encouraged (and at times required) to work using sketches and hands-on tools. It was told to us time and time again the the COMPUTER IS ONLY A REFINING TOOL....., well it seems that a lot of designers have forgotten this advice. The realistic quality an actual sketch can add, the beautiful textures a photograph or scanner can provide, and the pure fun & creativity that results from trying a new method to create an effect more naturally than a computer ever could....it's all becoming lost. Have you noticed? In the last century, the focus of art is to duplicate what already exists ... sometimes there is an effort to perfect what already exists in life. What we must remember is what we see and hear in life is our greatest inspiration. It can't be perfected upon. Only altered into something that is greater than life, less than life...but never actually life. So, when we create something what is mimicking life--we should get as close as we can by creating it here in this realm and uploading it to the computer as the very last step. ~*~ Andrea Rainey
