I like the sun on the bottom. At first I liked the top one with the glare, but that remi9nds me of something else i can't put my finger on...
Regarding the tyope-treatment, again I'll go with the bottom. i think the top is too big, and slightly off-center when it appeasr you were looking to cnetre it. Have you tried something between these 2 pt sizes?

holy cow I can't spell. That's 4.5 hours of sleep talking.
Looks great. I think the top version is better, the light burst is less dramatic and the belly is clearer. The font size of the title is a bit large and could work better with the graphic if you decreased the size somewhat. This is a wonderful concept with equally strong execution, nicely done.
